The DocStar Course Format
The DocStar course is scheduled over a consecutive two (2) day period. It is given two (2) times per year in order to accommodate those taking the exam in the spring and fall.
Day 1: The day begins with a brief introduction to the format and scoring of the exam, with the remainder of the day dedicated to practicing multiple case scenarios in a relaxed, informal environment.
Day 2: The second day is dedicated to multiple patient scenarios, as well as a short didactic on tips and pearls for the exam.

The DocStar Motto: “IT’S NOT WHAT YOU KNOW--IT’S HOW YOU PLAY THE GAME.”
Feedback
Feedback is given at the end of all patient scenarios, and both "single" and "triple" patient encounters are addressed. By the end of the course, students will have practiced an extensive number of cases and will feel comfortable to sit for the actual exam.
At DocStar, we encourage the use of mnemonics and other testing strategies to attain an all-inclusive history and appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
The DocStar instructors have worked together to form an effective mnemonic and to formulate patient scenarios that are relevant and comparable to scenarios one might see on the actual exam.
